A : Arya Stark – “A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I’m going home.”

A
Arya Stark

Game of Thrones is full of strong women, I could fill up most of this challenge gushing about how awesome each and every one of them are.

But for the purpose of this challenge, I will be sticking with easily my favorite Stark. The middle child of Eddard and Catelyn and infamous tomboy, Arya.

Pronounced ARE – yuh, according to author, George R. R. Martin, “I say it ‘Are-ya’, two syllables not three. Not ‘are-ee-uh’, not like an operatic thing, but ‘Are-ya’, very sharp. I wanted something that was like a knife, that was a sharp and hard sound, to be a contrast to the flowery ‘Sansa’.”

As a former tomboy myself, I don’t really like that term.
Why do we need titles?
Arya is just being Arya.

Arya is an easy character to rally behind.
She is clever, stubborn, independent and vengeful.

Vengeful is probably not a great quality but when you’re playing the game of thrones,
you win or you die.

Arya narrowly escaped Kings Landing and has had to survive pretty much on her own. Yes, she had people to lean on, Yoren, Gendry, the Hound but after she boarded that boat to Braavos and stepped through the doors of the House of Black and White she was on her own.

Arya decides to become a faceless man and begins to train under Jaqen H’ghar and the waif. She had to let go of Arya Stark and become “no one”. But after Arya learned that as a Faceless Man she would have to kill somewhat innocent people for “petty reasons” she realized that she rather kill bad people for good reasons.

Arya is also fiercely loyal.
Standing up for her beliefs, her family and the little guy, time and time again.

I sure hope Arya survives next season, until the end, at least…

Thank you for Reading!

HAPPY EASTER!
